American geographers need basic concepts to understand advanced Geography

I have this book and Key Methods in Geography in the same series. See the other review by student K McClane. The probable reason NMSU geography professors chose this book for their Las Cruces geography grad students (it's written by UK geographers)has to do with the lack of adequate American texts on the subject of geography concepts. It's not perfect, but I dare any other American geography grad student to find something comparable for advanced cultural and physical geographers in training in the U.S.
