Kat's Journey

This book is great, not only for the spanish/english value for kids, but the whole point of the story is about being lost and knowing that God is there and has been the whole time. It's a great book to teach children and really all ages about God's love. We were lucky enough to have this book when we went on a mission trip to Guatemala and we utilized them as guides to help the children learn some english, us some spanish, and all of us about God. Great stories came from the kids about how God had found them and loved them. I highly recommend this book, especially if you are looking for a bible study tool for missions with children.

This story is a delight. Kat's travels tug at the heart and provide a joyous ending. His storey puts Christianity into everyday situations that children will understand. The illustrations are so captivating; Probably my favorite part of the book. Preteens can read for themselves, while Kat's situations hold the attention of younger children. I like the bilingual format and I like having both versions on a single page. In addition to purchasing for a child, I've been pleased to give Kat's Journey as new grandmom gifts, as a "thank you" to church staff to be put in their church libraries and, of course, as new baby gifts. I am truly enjoying reading and sharing this loving, fun, Christian book.

When I first got this book, I had to look at all the illustrations before I could even read the story! They are so pretty, and the cute little dog is such a great children's book character. The Spanish translation is a wonderful idea, especially for kids. My friend went on a mission trip to Mexico this past year, and her group was able to take copies of this book and give them to children there! The story is really great, too. It is written in a simple way for children to understand and even read themselves. Children could also pick up a little Spanish vocabulary while they read. Kat's Journey is entertaining, and the message teaches life lessons along the way. I would buy more books like this for my kids.
