This Should Definately Be On Your Law School Reading List

I think Kaplan's Law School Admissions Adviser: The Expert Advice You Need to Get Into the Law School You Want is an excellent general overview of the entire admissions process. If you are just starting your research or initially contemplating law school, I highly recommend you read this book. The book, written by the assistant dean of financial aid at Georgetown University Law Center, is organized into seven sections covering basics like evaluating and selecting a school, the admissions process, how to finance a law degree, special considerations for different types of students, and a directory of U.S. law schools. I found the information to be well organized and concise. It's not the most thorough book on the process, and it doesn't go too far in-depth on any of the topics covered. However, it's great for getting a feel for the application process. If you know very little about how to apply and how law schools decide who they admit, I think this book will be a good "first reading" choice for you. I thought the section on how to finance a law degree was especially helpful. The book includes a wealth of reference material, including several web sites for more information. Overall, if you are planning to go to law school, this book should absolutely be on your reading list.

Useful guide to law school admittance

I thought this was an extremely helpful guide during my law school admissions process. I received quite a few tips on narrowing down my selections, essays and other factors involved in the process. In the end it's GPA and LSAT that matter most, but this guide will definitely give you a bit of an edge.

A big help

My only regret is not having bought and read this book sooner. I helped me through every step of the application process, which is more than I can say for my university's law school advisor.
