My First E. Lynn Harris Book . . . But Won't Be My Last!

Raw: An Erotic Street Tale My mom and aunt are both big E. Lynn fans, but I've never read his books until now because I'm so much more into street lit. But WOW! I've been missing out! What a good story, with a wonderful plot twist that you just don't see coming! I won't give it away....but umm, ..... Camryn....mmmmm I loved this book! My mom tells me it's a lot different from his other books, but still, I'm going to go back and read all of them. Mr. Harris, yu have a new fan! Raw: An Erotic Street Tale Prey For Love

Well Worth The Wait!

Just Too Good To Be True by E. Lynn Harris is well worth the wait. It has been a long time since my favorite author cranked out a well anticipated novel. This book is just that;I loved it so much I ran out and bought it the same day it came out. Now here is the scoop on the new novel. We have a cast of all new characters and when I tell you they are drama-filled, they are just that. From your country bama mother who is the embarrassment around town, to the local football star who is leading a double life. This book is filled with all kinds of characters and the development of them all is breathtaking. Mr. Harris has outdone himself with this one. Carmyn is the daughter of a well-known preacher, but one night she indulges in too much alcohol leaving her judgment impaired and changing how her parents perceive her. Running scared and forced to start a new life, Carmyn is determined to make a better way for herself and her son, Brady. Through grim and grit you will feel this woman's strength as she struggles to overcome obstacle after obstacle. But when faced with her past, can she keep her s ecret life just that, a secret, or will the lovely façade she put up to save her and her son come crumbling down? Brady is a loveable, committed young man who loves football and his mother, but yearns to know who his father is and learn some history about his mother. Being a star on the football team, and facing the many women who pursue him constantly, Brady has a hard time battling with his promise to save his virginity until he gets married. Will Brady be duped by the lovely vixen women who are interested in his pending fame? Or will he remain chaste until his wedding day? Will Carmyn reveal who is Brady's dad and will she be able to let go of the tight hold she has on her sons' life? This book is recommended to readers of all genres, and lovers of E. Lynn Harris, he has done it again. Mr. Harris, please do not keep us waiting this long for another book. Reviewed by: Cheryl H APOOO BookClub

Great read

As usual, E. Lynn Harris brings life to new characters we hope to see much more of. Camryn Bledsoe has created an excellent life for herself and her son, college football star Brady Bledsoe but the secrets she has threaten not only her life but her relationship with her son. With enough storylines to keep the story moving and some we hope to hear more about in future stories, Mr. Harris has you turning pages so quickly that before you know it the book is over and you're left hungering for more. Just enough dialogue, just enough sex, just enough storylines makes for another outstanding E. Lynn Harris novel.

....Can't Take My Eyes Off of You.

Brady Bledsoe and his mother Carmyn have the perfect mother and son relationship. Carmyn is a single mother who owns several beauty salons and is a faithful church member. She is devoted to her son and shares his dream to become a professional football player. Brady has shared the same values as his mother, including joining a celibacy circle at church. Because of his hard work and dedication, Brady is now in his senior year in college and is a lead contender for the Heisman Trophy and a spot in the NFL. Things soon get complicated for Brady when a beautiful cheerleader named Barrett has her eyes on him and his potential multi-million dollar future. Will Brady be able to stay out of Barrett's clutches? Meanwhile, Carmyn is trying to keep Brady's eyes on the prize. Carmyn is also trying to desperately protect a secret that she has kept from Brady his whole life. Just Too Good To Be True is an electrifying novel by E. Lynn Harris. Harris once again gives readers what they want by delivering a story that's full of drama and emotion. You get a bird's eye view of the wild and exciting world of a college football athlete. Brady is a complex character that you will root for. Although he does make a few mistakes along the way, you will see how Brady is still trying to stay on task for his future football career. You'll also feel for Carmyn as she tries to make amends for her past mistakes. Harris perfectly illustrated the strong mother and son relationship between Brady and Carmyn, which was refreshing. This author's novel wouldn't be complete without his signature plot twists that will have you flipping the pages. Just Too Good To Be True is widely entertaining and heartwarming. E. Lynn Harris has brought a novel that doesn't disappoint and will satisfy his legion of fans and will possibly gain a whole new fan base. Reviewed by Radiah Hubbert for Urban Reviews
