"No matter what or how you ride, read this book and remind yourself just how enjoyable cycling can and should be."--Eben Weiss, author of The Enlightened Cyclist
Just Ride is a revelation. Forget the ultralight, uncomfortable bikes, flashy jerseys, clunky shoes that clip onto tiny pedals, the grinding out of endless miles. Instead, ride like you did when you were a kid--just get on your bike and discover the pure joy...
If I had to suggest one book about cycling this would be the book!

I raced bikes in my 30's and rode across the United States when I was in my 40's, covering 3,100 miles, riding 100 to 140 miles each day. I won 17 races in my cycling past. I have ridden at least once a week for over 50 years. So I say that to show, I know a little about the subject. With that experience, I would still rate "Just Ride" as the number one book to get, if you want to cycle. Mr. Petersen cuts right to the point. Not only Cycling but everything in life, should be about "Having Fun!" We all have and myself included, taken things to serious. "Just Bike" has highlights like these "No ride is too short," Riding in traffic, "A mirror makes it easy, so get one." He tells how to make your helmet breathe more, Velcro spots across the forehead to get air circulating over your head. Be more visible "Go nuts with reflective tape." Last, of many things, "I love about the book."
"If you ride so much that you have no time or interest or energy to do any other kind of exercise, you'll be a foam-boned, hunched over weakling..." This book is for anyone who wants to really know the secrets to cycle, and still have time, to live a great life. Packed full of information, that I never heard from anyone else.
Somewhat radically practical guide to riding your bike

Just Ride does a fine job of debunking the misinformation about cycling. Mr. Petersen has spent decades in the bicycle industry and owns a bicycle shop. While reading his work one can sense his hatred toward the cycling industry. His passion which you can also sense is directed to the average Joe Citizen to get off the couch and Just Ride. Just Ride like you did as a kid! Overall this is a decent read.
