Jordan was determined that he and his associates would convince the owner of The Swine, a rundown bar just across the county line, to institute a drink limit. He didn't expect to be mesmerized, however, by the live entertainment. As Jordan watched the sexy Georgia Barnes dance for the low class men of the renovated barn, he found himself held spell bound by an attraction so intense, so powerful, that he started a fight just because another man touched her. Never mind that Georgia was quiet experienced at fending off unwanted attention.Georgia has no need of the clean cut, obviously not fitting-in man, who rushes to her defense. As other men tossed back drink after drink and flung cash at her feet they could ill afford, this one was different. And she didn't need different. In fact, she didn't need, and definitely didn't want, a man in her life -- especially a man who sips soda and steps in where other men would walk away. Georgia has convinced herself that she cannnot afford the time nor the emotional energy it takes for a relationship. Further, she fiercely guards her independence while fulfilling her responsibilities to her two young children and ill mother. Besides, her ex-husband taught her everything she ever wanted to know about men, and she's not interested in any more painful lessons.Lori Foster presents a refreshing clash of backgrounds in Jordan and Georgia. While Jordan comes from a well-respected family in their small town, Georgia is new, not social, and had her first child at sixteen. Jordan is a vet and Georgia is an exotic dancer. Yet the intense attraction pulls these unlikely people together in an exciting, entertaining clash certain to entertain romance lovers. Foster creates a passionate, tension filled plot that is uniquely inventive. Indeed, the balance of walking on the wild side while maintaining integrity is a difficult mixture and a huge success with JORDAN. I highly recommend JORDAN.

I really enjoyed all the books in this series. They were enjoyable and so hard to put down. I couldn't wait for the next one to come out.Jordan was the quiet one the one who kept his emotions under control.I really hope the let her write Casey's story. When I got to the end of the book and they left it with a cliff hanger I was searching everywhere to see when Casey's story was coming. Don't disappoint us. Please let her finish the story!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great Series Finish

With "Jordan," Lori Foster pens a fitting finish to what has been a great summer series featuring 4 brothers from Buckhorn County and the women who win their hearts. Jordan Sommerville, the area vet, is a man on a mission, the night he walks into the bar, bent on talking the owner into being more responsible with dispensing liquor. Before he gets the chance to speak one word to the owner, his attention and mission take a side-road as the floor show starts and Jordan finds himself staring at the woman who will be his wife. He just doesn't know it yet. At the moment, all he can think is that he's seen bathing suits that covered more than the scraps of cloth the exotic dancer on stage wore. Georgia Barnes, 23 and mom to two, uses her dancing skills to earn money to support her children and her mother. The skimpy outfits the bar owner demands she wear mortifies her but does add money in tips to feed and clothe her children and pay for repairs on the house. And she doesn't take too kindly to Jordan barging in and basically taking over her life and quite possibly getting her place of employment shut down. In this, the last of the Buckhorn Brothers series, Ms. Foster's trademark wit, knack for dialogue and sizzling sexual tension are clearly evident in this story that spotlights the last bachelor and brings in the whole extended family one last time. Once again, we are invited to look on as the four brothers clown around, pick on Jordan unmercifully but are there with the degree of love and support that has been evident throughout the whole series. And anyone with children, who knows how the little ones love to mimic what they hear their parents say, will laugh at the antics of Amber, her dad (Morgan) and her uncle Sawyer as she parrots a few choice words, much to the men's dismay. If you have not had the chance to read "Sawyer", "Morgan", "Gabe" or "Jordan," you're missing some terrific reading. Fortunately, they are still available, so pack them in your bag to take on vacation. And thanks, Lori, for giving me a summer of wonderful men.
Jordan the Vet...

...is the final book for the Buckhorn Brothers series. He has seen his other brothers get married and is not looking to do the same. Then he meets Georgia (a dancer and single mother) in a bar where she works. True to the type of person he is, he ends up helping her out. He gets to know her and her family, and soon, he wants her in his life permanently. She resists mainly because of her previous marriage but Jordan breaks down her barriers. Who can resist this man with the soft voice, kind hands and someone her kids adore? You won't be able to resist him either! It was an enjoyable book that left you feeling good, just like books by Lori Foster generally do. She knows how to write about families and make you care about her characters. In this book there is a secondary story involving Casey, the son of Sawyer. The book ends with a cliffhanger that makes you want to know what happened to him. According to Lori Foster, when it was written in, there was an expectation that Casey's story would be written. At this time, Harlequin has not decided on this or not. I hope they do, as Casey is as kind and handsome as his father and uncles, and his story should be told. The whole Buckhorn Brothers series was enjoyable and I hope there are more stories from Lori about Buckhorn, Kentucky.
Jordan by Lori Foster

Jordan is the fourth installment om the Buckhorn County Brother series by Lori Foster and in my opinion the best one. Jordan is the county vet who is also a very serious and has certain ideas on the perfect woman. Georgia is a single mom trying to make ends meet and does not want to get involved with another man. Jordan and Georgia meet at the bar and there is an instant attraction that they fight at all costs. There is a also a secondary romance featuring Casey and you get to revisit with the sexy brothers all over again. I highly recommend Jordan and hope that there will be more Buckhorn County books.
