My husband and his family are huge WVU fans so of course I had to get this book. The pages are beautiful. The artwork looks like a quilt.

This adaptation of John Denver's beloved song is a must for any family who has ties to West Virginia. The illustrations are beautiful and detailed, and the CD is a fun bonus. (Our son likes to have the CD playing as he follows along in the book.) Everyone loves "Country Roads," but West Virginians especially enjoy this, our adopted state anthem. A great way to introduce the song to the next generation.

Illustrated and adapted from the popular song by John Denver by Christopher Canyon, John Denver's Take Me Home, Country Roads. Bill Danoff and Taffy Nivert, two of John Denver's friends who were driving through the beautiful rolling hills of Maryland and in the process began composing a song inspired by what they were seeing along the way. This book is faaaaarrrrr out! My grandson has the benefit of two grandmas who love John Denver's songs and all he stood for and now this book is one of three (so far)which we can share in joy with the next generation.

This is the 3rd book in this series of adapting John Denver's songs to book form (they just keep getting better). I loved him as a singer/songwriter & Christopher Canyon & Dawn Publishing have done him proud with this newest book created from one of his most well known & best loved songs. I bought multiples for me, my Grandson, & Grandaughter so that they may learn to love his work also. I have been a John Denver fan for over 30 years & these books help me keep remembering why I became a fan in the first place. The fact that the publishing company is in my own home town is like deja vu.
