I have read at least ten books about Apopleseed John, and this is the best I have come across. I agree with everything in the School Library Journal's review above. It is interesting to know the stories that have been invented about Chapman, but you must know the facts also. Young people as well as adults will find the writing style inviting and the factual information satisfying.
