Fun and a little silly, never ending on a bad note. It's really a delightful read and a good adventure. If you are looking for a present for a girl under the age of fourteen, this is pretty good. The whole series is summed up in three volumes, easy to read, and beautifully illustrated. As I've said before, if you opt for buying the books this far, just buy all three together.
