A revelatory, minute-by-minute account of JFK's final days that asks what might have been Fifty years after his assassination, President John F. Kennedy's legend endures. Noted author and historian... This description may be from another edition of this product.
There have been hundreds of books on President John F. Kennedy and this book by Thurston Clarke is a genuine addition in how the man and politician was evolving in the last hundred days before his death to a possible, really interesting 2nd term in office if he was elected, which he surely would have been as his opponent was to be the Republican party's Barry Goldwater beaten by a huge landslide win instead by Lyndon B. Johnson in late 1964. I enjoyed Thurston Clarke's JFK book and in turn this had me get his book on Robert Kennedy's last campaign and is also a good read. He finds more insights and information into what was an amazing and dramatic decade in the United States - that of the 1960s. Never to be experienced in the same way again.
