The Chosen People

I'm buying another set (there are three volumes) for my children because I want to hold onto my child-hood set (selfish I know). I remember distinctly reading these as a child and how clearly it helped me learn the bible stories to the point that reading a real bible later was much easier. This isn't a 'Bible' in complete form, but those are available. Instead, each chapter puts in small font what bible passage the story is from so you can look it up if you want. I also remember reading them over and over...they are drawn in a grown-up comic style, no big-eyed talking bears here or even wings on the angels...they have taken effort to NOT take artistic license. It makes it more accessable to wide ranges of denominations.
