Jessi can't believe it. Her dreaded Aunt Cecelia is moving in to take care of Jessi and her brother and sister. How humiliating -- Jessi's going to have a baby-sitter! This description may be from another edition of this product.
Aunt Cecelia is absolutely ridiculous. Telling Jessi she can't take Squirt for a walk or go to Mallory's house. But I like how it turned out. In the end Aunt Cecelia is really ok. I liked the name Aunt Dictator! I like this book because it is just SOOOO good! I give it 5 gold stars, but if I could i'd give it 100.
Cool!

Jessi is iritated, she does not need a baby sitter. Aunt Cecelia makes Jessi feel like a stupid kid. aunt Cecelia tells Jessi when she should sleep and they fight over a lot of things and she can't even go to BSC meetings and also can't go to Mallory Pike's house. Jessi knows she is a baby sitter and is old enough to have a sitter but how can she tell Aunt Cecelia?
why did they change jessi's picture on the cover

I don't understand why they changed the picture of jessi on the cover and kept everything else the same, it looks like a bad photoshop job now. Anyways the book is good jessi and becca are upset about their aunt cecilia moving in with them and jessi feels she is a threat to her. The aunt is very strict with them and seems mean throughout the book but at the end they tell their parents and things are well after that and we see that the aunt is not so bad after all and has a funny side to her.

I bought "Jessi's Baby-Sitter" by Ann M. Martin for my 5th grade cousin. I have spent countless hours reading this book with her. The language of the book is well written for a youngster her age, with some big words to build vocabulary. This book was about Jessi and her friends dealing with pre-teen problems of their pre-teen life. Jessi is upset because her aunt has come to tend the house and to Jessi's worst fear to baby sit her and her sibblings. The book details how Jessi feels and how the problem is solved. Hardley any author writes realistic views on pre-teen life. So this book's content and the whole series is excellent. My cousin says the books are "fun and enjoyable." I must add the characters in the book seeem not like story book characters but like real people who live among us. This is an excellent book, and I highly recommend this book to anyone who knows a pre-teen.
