excellent look into a different cultur

This is a very neat introduction into a part of Japanese cultur that is often closed to foreigners. It might not be likely that as a tourist you will have to know how to behave at a private tea cermony, but it is interesting reading never the less as it gives a glimpse into a different cultur. And because of the cultural aspect it doesn't matter that some of it is certainly outdated, as it gives a real sense of Japanese sensibilities. Some times things might seem strict and foreign, but then how would we feel today if we would be confronted with the rules of etiquette of the upper society of Boston a hundred years ago as described by Henry James?
