Book Overview

Wyatt Webb blends horse sense with common sense in a revolutionary new form of therapy. If you want to deal with your demons, it helps to make a pit stop in Tucson, Arizona. His tools are not a leather couch and a standard therapist's stopwatch that informs you when "time is up." Time has been up for some of his clients for a long, long time. They are long overdue when it comes to changing their lives. And they want some help. With Webb's therapy,...

A no-nonsense, refreshing & useful approach.

I purchased Wyatt Webb's book after listening to him on Hay House radio. This is not one of those new agey books out there written by people who don't really tell you how it is. You won't get lots of gooey talk and Ego stroking telling you that all you have to do is think positive. Wyatt Webb deals with real trauma, and other people's pain. His experience is authentic, raw, tough, and shows tremendous courage in hitting rock bottom, climbing out, and then voluntarily using his gifts to help others. As an adult child of a recovered alcoholic & parent with a rare narcissitic personality disorder, I highly recommend Wyatt's book because the one thing adult children of abuse needs is security - confirmation that the bad stuff did happen, and life is not all roses. If we don't have acceptance, we continue the pathologically closed loop that allows us to turn a blind eye to further injustices being perpetrated. The world is an awesome place, and our birthright is to be powerful, focussed, and creative in our lives. Overcoming fear and self-doubt, which Webb says almost always is sourced from trauma, has to be good for you. A great book from someone who knows firsthand of the challenges some of us have to overcome, and I would recommend it to anyone that wants to take their fear head on to permanently release it, instead of allowing it to unconsciously rule you. Integrity and realness

Its Not About The Horse!, is a book of honesty, integrity and devotion. I have had the pleasure of meeting Wyatt Webb and found him to be the "real deal" and not a competitive, saftey seeker. It takes courage to devote your life to helping others because it makes you vulnerable to those who choose blame and jealousy as a life path. Not Wyatt, his book was a labor of his life's work and his sincere desire to help others, not only ovecome fear and self doubt, but their darkest shadows. I have had the opportunity to share this book with friends, staff members and many others and I have witnessed the life changing transformations, which also includes myself. Wyatt is colorful, kind, honest, respectful and most of all safe, in a profession that requires health. A review is only as healthly as the person writing the review. The expression of Wyatt Webb is direct, safe and loving. I know several people who are grateful for Wyatt Webb and his orginal expression. I am personally grateful for Wyatt's direct, creative and unique way of allowing others to access their true feelings. I look forward to Wyatt's next release. This book is a must read for those who really are serious about change and transformation!

Insightful and Inspiring

I loved Wyatt Webb's book. I had the pleasure of meeting Wyatt in person at Miraval, purchased the book there (actually it was purchased for me by a friend), and read the entire book on the plane ride back home to Chicago. I found the book to be interesting, informative and most of all inspiring; offering useful tips on how you, too, could change your life. I also think that the review that criticizes Wyatt for "taking all the credit" for equine therapy is unfounded - in no way does he state or imply that he is the sole or only practitioner of this type of therapy. This book is simply the VERY INSPIRING story of his life, including the role that equine therapy has played in it.

Engaging and Insightful

I was moved and educated by this book. The way the author opened himself up and was honest about his dysfunctional childhood, drug addiction and general personal problems made him human. To read that his journey to heal that past prompted him to want to share and help others heal is incredibly inspiring. The unconventional method he uses with horses to get to the "core of the matter" is brilliant. What a terrific combination: someone who's "been there" and can speak from first hand experience and the power, simple intelligence and beauty of horses. I can't say enough about what reading this book has meant to me. Thank you Wyatt Webb for having the nerve and strength to put your life and this book together.

one of the most profound books i have ever read

i was fortunate enough to take wyatt's equine experience at miraval. 3 hours together with wyatt did more for me than 6 years of therapy. it was truly amazing. who would have thought that grooming a horse would tell me so much about the way i live my life. but as wyatt shows, the way we do anything is the way we do everything.for those of you who can GO TO MIRAVAL for the WYATT WEBB INTENSIVES, i HIGHLY ENCOURAGE you to BUY THIS BOOK and GO there. for those of you who cannot, YOU SIMPLY MUST BUY THIS BOOK. it WILL help you CHANGE YOUR LIFE!all of us live with fear and self doubt and those two emotions cripple our ability to live the life we want to live. the stories in this book are real. the transformations miraculous. i have seen them. they have happened to me in my own life and i have seen them happen in the life of others. WYATT WEBB IS REAL.do yourself a favor, BUY YOURSELF a copy of "it's not about the horse" right NOW! and if you have a REALLY GOOD FRIEND, BUY IT FOR THEM as well. they will really appreciate it.i only hope it will do for you what it has done for me.
