Slightly Predictible with a Twist

This book is basically composed of two storylines: Jessica and Elizabeth, and Will and Melissa. But the sub-storylines are what's really interesting. Will and Melissa broke up after Melissa came onto Aaron, and although both Melissa and Will want each other back, neither is really ready to admit it. Will gets accepted to NYU; Melissa to Smith College. However, after a failed symposium, Melissa decides Smith isn't right for her after all. Will puts off mailing his acceptance letter to NYU and finally decides not to go. Do Will and Melissa get back together? Read the book to find out! Meanwhile, Jessica does all the work to plan her parent's 25th anniversiarry dinner, and Elizabeth and Steven get all the credit. Jessica has been feeling a little low lately. She's convinced that no one in her family appreciates her--even Steven calls her 'Airhead' and Elizabeth 'Brain.' Jessica wants people to respect her more, and realize she's not an airhead. Liz is too wrapped up in 'Jeffy-poo' [Jess's quote] to be of any use, and this storyline really explodes when, at the dinner, instead of comforting Jessica, Liz goes to take a call from Jeff. I think that the twin's storyline was more interesting than the Liss/Will storyline. Melissa and Will are pretty predicatable, but what happens to Melissa in this book and the Jess/Liz story is a 'twist' on predictable.

Urrgggg!

Okay am I the only one that's tired of Will & Melissa? Why keep breaking them up if they keep getting back together? Sure, when you think about it they're perfect for each other but Melissa's such a witch and no wonder Will keeps cheating on her. And what happened to Liz? All boyfriend crazy? That's more Jessica than Liz. I never liked Jeffery to begin with when they were first dating and I don't like him and how Elizabeth is acting. I'm tired of all these Alanna story lines, all she does is drink and she's going to pull Conner down with her. Do you ever wonder what happened to Winston and the gang from the old SVH books? They just disappered and new characters have taken their place its irritating....though I do like the Andy, Tia, Conner and Evan. And they should get their stories straight, Maria just moved back last year from New York, she hasn't been at SVH the whole time, Jade should be a junior not a senior and I thought she led a really sheltered life. If you've read all the other books before senior year then nothing makes sense! But over all this book isn't that great, it's the same story we've been reading since Will and Melissa broke up the first time!

I loved this book!

I bought this book as soon as it came out because I couldn't wait to see what happened between Melissa and Will. In Best of Enemies, Melissa's friends ditched her when she really needed them and Will cheated on her. So in Never Give Up, He's Back, and Touch and Go, Melissa worked out a convoluted revenge plan because she was so mad at Will and Cherie. This book is about the results of her twisted plan. Then there are two subplots: The first one is about how Evan really, really wanted to go to Berkley for college but only made the waiting list. Tia was accepted to Berkley and several other colleges as well. Naturally that would cause some drama. The second subplot is about how Jessica and Elizabeth's parent's anniversary is coming up and Elizabeth is so wrapped up with her boyfriend, Jeff, that she forgot all about it and doesn't really care, even though she's the "responsible" twin. Jessica is stuck planning everything and Elizabeth gets all the credit because everyone assumes that Jessica is too much of an airhead to plan an anniversary dinner for her parents.I highly reccommend this book because it lets you find out how everyone reacted to Melissa's plan and because it was a very engaging and interesting book.

not the best

1st of all...the new cover models are horrible! They look nothing like what I imagine the characters to be like. Anyways, this book has 3 basic storylines. 1st, Tia and Evan's college crisis, 2nd, Jessica and Elizabeth forgot a very important date and there is high drama to follow, and 3rd, Will and Melissa's break-up. Overall, this book is okay, but by far not the greatest in the series. I won't give anything away, but it's pretty predictable.
