The It Chicks

It chicks is a very juicy, good read. Filled with drama, love, and friendship, this book is one you definitely need to read!!! The way Mrs.Williams engages her readers are incredible and makes you eat the story right up. The characters are all dynamic and have their flaws, but that what makes this book a whole lot of fun and entertaiment. I definitely cannot (I repeat) cannot wait to read Sixteen Candles (the sequel). Keep writing Mrs.Williams!!!!

A very engaging book! I couldn't put it down and read it almost non-stop. I found the story flowed and I enjoyed the characters, the witty dialogue, and the ending. Ms. Williams has a real talent for novel writing. For what it's worth, I think it's a pretty realistic portrayal of where 'kids' are today. If a parent is worried their kids will mimic the behaviors in the book, censorship of reading material isn't their biggest problem... Ms. Williams' second book, like the first, is what reading is all about-- getting engrossed in the story, getting into the characters, and wishing for a sequel. I've already pre-ordered the next in the series, and I'm not a teen!

The Ups and Downs of Being Round Taste My Soul This book reminds me of the move FAME! I can definately see it being made into a movie for teens and young adults of today. I just finished reading this book and I must say that it was GREAT!!! I can honestly say that it is one of the best books I've ever read. No matter what you do, READ THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT CHICKS is definitely going to have to have a sequel! This book has the characters of Gossip Girl #1: A Novel by Cecily von Ziegesar (Gossip Girl) and the setting of the movie Step Up (Widescreen Edition)! That makes for one CRAZY book, let me tell you! The characters include Tangie, Skye, Eden (Skye's older sister), Trey (Eden's ex-boyfriend), C.J., Izzy, Nick, and Regina. Those are just the important characters, too! Louis B. Armstrong is New York's most prestigious performing arts school, where anyone who has a chance of being a star attends high school. The book is their stories of how they got there, and what happens during the first week at the school. The only thing I didn't like about the story was that the author skipped around a lot. In the beginning it was hard to tell who was who, but as you keep reading it gets easier. This is another summer must-read! Reviewed by: Taylor Rector
