Love The 2nd Time Around

Okay let me start as I do almost all my reviews, I prefer the old, old Harlequin Romances, I am of the opinion that they have more plot in them than the newer books that seem only to have sex on every other page, or a manual on how to have sex etc. But I usually have to trade sex for mean, old, cruel, cold, hateful even abusive alpha males. This story is a clean heart warming romance, although the alpha male has gray hair he isn't old, and he would do anything for the alpha female...well almost anything. Alison Fawcus lost her memory, her cousin Guy Stevens and his mom Peggy take her to Capri to recuperate. But she meets Stephen Roberts, he is a artist, and he falls in love with Alison. I knew Guy was in love with Alison, but it seemed to me Peggy and Guy kept too cool when it came to Alison being with Steve. I would have thought because of her head injury Peggy or Guy would have been on hand at all times, head injuries can be fatal, weeks, even months after the fact. But they showed trust in Steve not to take advantage of Alison, even though they didn't really know him. Alison finds she is in love with Guy, then before she can confess her love, Guy tells her he is wearing a ring given to him by the woman he loves, and Alison believes Guy has lost his true love, and hasn't gotten over her. Guy thinks Alison has fallen for Steve, and he tries to give her up, but he just can't. This is a must read. From the back of the book: 'Alison had lost her memory, and it would be best, they told her, if she recovered it herself, without any help. On the beautiful island of Capri, where she had been taken to recover, there were two men Guy and Steve-who seemed to be inextricably bound up with the mystery. Which of them held the secret Alison was looking for?'
