OMG, I can't believe it's been this long since IA aired! It's been a little less than a year since I bought the books and grrr! Hey, Christie, if you ever come back here to read reviews, it would be much appreciated if you had the assignment to write more! Any fan of the show *has* to have this book. I was no less than estatic when it arrived and I after I started reading it, well...Let's just say I wouldn't have even noticed if the house caught on fire. ;) Ooohhh, I wish there was more, be it the rest of the novelization, or sort of a continued prequel. You know, like the time gap between them leaving the Rez and heading for Glenport or basically anything that hasn't already been covered.

Tony Hillerman meets Robin Cook in SPACE!

Very, Very, good book! This book gives soo much more history and information about the characters than the series does. I loved learning about what happened to Cale, Rafe, and Rita and how David was born. Very chilling and realistic virus introduced, and a flattering portrayal of the Navajo people as well. A word to the previous review which stated that the dates were incorrect. The dates looked just fine to me - the show started with Rita in 1981, David was born in February of 1982 and was 16 by 1998 when the bulk of the show took place. I was so caught up in the great story that I did not notice any typos.Great book, buy it, read it, keep it...

This book is a must read!!

This book picks up in the middle of the original series, where Rita, Cale, and Rafe are on the run from the Dragit. It really shows a character development in the characters of Cale and Rita. It also introduces a few characters that I wish would've been discussed in the show. I really enjoyed Cale and Rita's relationship, as portrayed in the book. It gives a lot of depth to their relationship. It also explains why Doc was so hesitant to help David in the beginning. It gives a lot of background information and answers a lot of the unanswered questions left from the original series.

The animated series elaborated with more on dad.

I loved "On the Run" even better than the first book because it went in a different direction than "Invasion America" (the first book). The Native American Indians in the book were so cool, just like the Tyrusians! This story tells of the days before the main character,David, was born and it is more about Cale, the father. We didn't get to see a whole lot of him in the animated series, but more in the first book by Christie Golden. I hope we are privilaged enough to have Christie write another. Thanks.

Loved this book!

I've been captivated by INVASION AMERICA since it first started airing last summer, and was very eager to read this book. It didn't disappoint me. It was great reading more about my favorite characters, and now I have several new ones to be attached to as well. The author provides plausible answers to some questions that fans have been asking, and adds some enigmas of her own. I hope Dreamworks will take the book seriously enough to incorporate this material into future episodes of the TV program.
