Introducing Feminist Images of God

The author presents recent thinking reflecting early attempts to move beyond restrictive God language, opening up the possibilities of more inclusive ways of praying. The rich experiences of God, distinctive and diverse, are seen through the eyes of many cultures and the women who struggle for justice. Using the figure of Sophia Wisdom as an example, the author shows that there are many still unplumbed images of God to discover.
