As the former President of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia and a world-leading academic, Professor Cassese brings unrivalled experience and expertise to the study of International Law. This is the ideal text for all students, providing a clear and concise background to the history of international law and exploring the latest developments in the field. The book is written to a good length - covering all topics in sufficient depth for contemporary courses and avoiding superfluous detail. A key feature is the companion website, specially created to work alongside the text. Key documents, case material, principal treaties and agreements cited in the book, and links to useful websites containing further sources are all included to provide an up-to-date and comprehensive resource for students and lecturers.
It is an excellent book , although prety much political. From legal point of view it is interesting and very useful, best regards, Snejina

Clear and Comprehensive guide for Int Law Students

I found this book incredibly useful for research, and as one of the main sources of information for a law competition I participated in. The information is presented in a clear manner, yet it encompases a large range of international law theory. On top of that it includes real life examples within the text, but in a format, that they can be skipped over if neccesary. The book was a great guide to international law jurisprudence, pointing me in the right direction in every case. This book is great either as an introduction to international law, or as a reference book. I think its an all around must-have.
Excellent updated book

I consider this book as an excellent text for students of International Law and International Relations. The work provides clear legal reasoning and information, but also interesting and updated examples. This mixture makes the book extremely interesting, including the web infomation linked to the book.Actually, I adopted this text as the basic reading for my University introductory course on Public International Law.
