As useful as they are incisive, these twenty-one ideas should be heard by anyone seeking fresh perspectives on how better to manage themselves and others.
A great perspective on work and managers by the author which is so relevant.
Simplifies and Applies the Concepts

I think Charles Handy does an excellent job of simplifying and applying many management concepts and models. It's an easy to read book. I'm confident people who reads this book will gain new insights about themselves and their organizations. I liked this book so much, I'm considering using it in a course I teach on Organizational Behavior.
Good, but not Great!

I have read many of Charles Handy's books and have found them to be excellent. His ideas and ways of expression are superb. However, I am not as enamored with this current offering. The layout of the book is excellent. Each Chapter covers one of his 21 points. The points he covers are relevant to leadership at any level. However, I found the discussions a little tiring to read. They do not hold my attention as well as in past books. I guess I expected more. It is one of those things that is had to put your finger on.
