In the Deep Dark Dungeon (A Mini Monster Pop-Up Book) My son really liked this little 5"x4" pop-up book. There's a pop-up or a flap to open up along with a rhyming verse on each page. A girl is walking reading a book, unaware of where she is walking (into a dungeon). There's scarry creatures on each page (skeletons,vampires, bats, hatchet monsters, ghosts, mummies. "This way to the throne room, but you'd better beware. Hold tight to the railing as you go down the stair. We don't want you tumbling to the cobblestone floor, And missing the surprises beyond the locked door. But what could be making those unearthly moans? You think you hear shrieking and the rattling of bones? Never mind, dearie, the throne room's this way. Just open these doors and... (the surpise comes underneath two large door flaps, but I won't give it away) Pay attention to the book she is reading which shows up on the last page. It's great for kids who liked to be scarred a little, but short enough so that's its not intense. Lots of things to look at on every page. Good for 4-7 years old.
