In Praise of Sailors: A Nautical Anthology of Art, Poetry, and Prose

I found this book on a trip to New England, and wanted more to give as gifts. I especially enjoyed images of real art work by listed artists accompianed by prose and poetry. I love to just pick it up and open it at random. Every page is filled with a story or a poem that gives the reader a window into the life of a sailor, a time gone by, or a place where I might want to go. The artwork is priceless because each piece is drawn from some wonderful collection that might not ever have been shared unless someone wrote this book.
