Yes Please! May I Have Another!

Love it! You just can't help but to get sucked into these books. They truly are great. Trust me, read this book and the first, A Restless Knight. You won't be disappointed. I can't wait for the next book, One Snowy Knight!

The Perfect Augmentation!!!

"In Her Bed" by Deborah MacGillivray So often I've read books that have secondary characters in them that I've wondered what was going on with them while the main story was taking place. Where did they go when they disappeared? What happened to them? Who were they with? Deborah MacGillivray has such a talent for bringing to life these secondary characters by giving them their own storylines and their own books! For those who haven't read "A Restless Knight", I HIGHLY RECOMMEND reading this first before you read "In Her Bed." These two books are linked not just by the characters, but they take place at the same time. "A Restless Knight" slightly precedes "In Her Bed." This is why it is important for you to read "A Restless Knight" first. Damien St. Giles, Lord Ravenhawke, thinks he's in love with his cousin's bride and it is tormenting him to watch the two of them together. Although he is happy for them, he can't shake the pain his heart feels for the woman he thinks he's been seeing in his dreams for years. Aithinne Ogilvie is in desperate need of securing her future and the future of her people. She needs to be with child and sends her three brothers and servant to find her a man who will serve that purpose. Unknown to her, they bring her the cousin to the infamous Black Dragon of Challon, who is her cousin Tamlyn's new husband! (Taking a deep breath...LOL) On the night of the Beltane celebration, Damien finds himself drugged and chained to the bed of Aithinne Ogilvie. In his altered state of mind, he thinks it is Tamlyn who he makes love to; he has no clue it is her cousin who has captured him. Aithinne is devastated when Damien calls her by her cousin's name. She had already fallen in love with this man who she bedded and had made passionate love to. Heartbroken, she gives him a potion that will make him forget her and their time together. (by this part of the book, I was in tears!!!!) When Lord Ravenhawke and his cousin come to lay claim to Aithinne and all her holdings, Damien is drawn to this woman who resembles Tamlyn. Damien can't ignore the fact that his body, heart, and soul desire Aithinne more than he understands or cares to admit. He craves this woman who feels she is a poor comparison to her beautiful, perfect cousin. My heart ached for Aithinne and I cried, ok, sobbed at her anguish that she may never have the love of Damien the way Tamlyn and Julian love. "In Her Bed" completely augments "A Restless Knight" but holds its own story well. My heart was captured by the love story between Damien and Aithinne! There was so much passion and desire between these two people who have lived their lives in the shadows of their cousins. Once again, I give my highest rating of * * * * * stars to another of Deborah MacGilllivray's books! I cannot wait until the next book in "The Dragons of Challon" series and have found myself yet again in love with another Dragon! Hugs and kisses and happy reading! Annie

ENJOYED IT SOOO MUCH, DIDN'T WANT IT TO END!!!

When the mailman delivered IN HER BED, I eagerly opened the package, and started reading this 2nd in the Dragons of Challon series immediately. As much as I loved the main characters in A RESTLESS KNIGHT, I was even more taken in by Damian St. Giles and Aithinne Ogilvie. So drawn by their story, I almost turned my back on my family, wishing they'd go away and not interrupt my reading. Each time I had to put the book down to handle daily chores, my mind stayed with Damian and Aithinne. The book opens with Damian trying to drown his sorrow of losing Tamlyn to marriage with his cousin. When identical triplets supply him with a strange drink, promising to take away his pain, his wild ride begins. Aithinne, with the help of her healer and friend, Oona, and her bumblesome brothers (the triplets), have set in motion a plan to bring a brawny man to her tower bedroom--hoping to get Aithinne with child. She plans to fight off the neighboring lords trying to take her land by lying about marriage to her guardian, Lord Lyonglen, and producing an `heir' to the title. She didn't count on the kidnapped man chained to her bed merely for `stud' service stealing her heart and soul. IN HER BED is first and foremost a love story--two people finding each other in the midst of war, and slaughterhouse encounters dealing with the English and the Scots, but the antics of the triplets, Damian's teasing of Aithinne and her freckles, and her insults to him to hide her love kept this reader wreathed in smiles. Ms. MacGillivray skillfully spins yet another sensual tale of a yummy English Knight and his mystical, pagan Ladylove, and their road to finding each other. The author is an expert on medieval Scotland, and it shows in her witty dialogue, interwoven with just the right amount of history. This author impressed me with her fan-yourself-hot love scenes that remained tasteful--unusual in this day of so many erotica books with sex for sex sake. Another addition to my `keeper' shelf (in fact, I enjoyed it so much, I didn't want to it to end). I highly recommend this book to everyone, and I anxiously await the next in the series. With this hero, bed is a 24 hour place

Lady Athinne Ogilvie must save the people of her glen from the corruption of the English Edward I. To do that, she sends her three not-too-bright brothers to a Beltane celebration to abduct a man that she can keep chained to her bed until he gets her with child. Once Edward realizes there is an heir, her lands will be safe. Only problem is the man her brothers lug home is none other than one of Edward's most trusted soldiers. Deborah Macgillivray injects a sense of humor into a very historically accurate novel set in 1296 Scotland as well as a touch of the auld magic. Once the reader meets Damian St. Giles, she'll wish she could trade places with Athinne and stay in HIS bed forever. Very well done. Cynthia Breeding

A King's Feast for Scottish Historical Lovers

In Her Bed Review by Billie Warren Chai Damian St. Giles, Lord Ravenhawke, travels to Scotland with his cousin, Julian, Earl of Challon, who claims lands granted to him by Edward Longshanks for his service. Damian will travel further north to claim his grandfather's lands. He is gifted with second sight through his Scottish mother, and bravery through his Norman father. The beautiful woman he sees in his vision has eyes only for his cousin. Aithinne Oglivie desperately wants to help the people of Lyonglen, her home since her parents died. Lord Lyonglen is indisposed in the worse way and she must fend off the advances of Phelan Comyn and Dinsmore Campbell, two very unworthy suitors who want to claim Lyonglen and her holding of Coinnleir Wood for their own. Under the Beltane Moon, the lives of Damian and Aithinne become entwined. He seeks to escape the ancient ceremony and she needs a heir to protect Lyonglen. Aithinne's three brothers and faithful servant seek a man worthy of her and carry Damian back to her bed at Lyonglen. Despite her misgivings, Aithinne risks everything for Lyonglen and finds herself falling in love with Damian. To protect Lyonglen, she allows her brothers and servant to return him to his cousin. Damian with Lord Challon at his side arrives to claim his grandfather's lands, Lyonglen. Damian is shocked to learn Aithinne is cousin to Julian's wife and the two women are cousin-twins who mirror each other. Meanwhile Aithinne is equally shocked to learn that Damian and Julian are cousin-twins. Soon events and Edward Longshanks force the outside world on Damian and Aithinne, and Julian and Tamlyn. Intrigue swirls not just between the Scots and the English, but between Damian and Aithinne. Secrets must be revealed and battles fought before peace will reign at Lyonglen. Will Damian and Aithinne's love strong enough to save them and Lyonglen? I heartily recommend this second installment of the Dragons of Challon and so fell in love with Damian (and the cover) that I threatened a dear friend over him. He is mine, and once you read "In Her Bed" Damian will belong to you too. I have found Ms. MacGillivray weaves a tale of love and secrets that consumes you. I could not put the book and eagerly urge you to discover her magic. I look forward to each new story concerning the Dragons of Challon and the women who win their hearts.
