Loved this book

There are too few books revolving around this sport with a storyline worth following, as well as an accurate protrayal of the sport itself. I agree with the previous comments about the clipped writing style, I wasn't sure what I was getting into, but was enthrawled by the third paragraph and could not put it down. This woman knows horses and knows showjumping, and there wasn't a single moment of "who does that"? in this book. Very much appreciated, can't wait for 'year two'.

Wonderful Book! Hope there is a year "Two"

Having spent most of my life around horses and horse shows I just found this book to be really an excellent portrayal of the horse business at the top. Rich patrons, bored pampered wifes looking for a diverting toy,,,,,, But the real characters, Jericho, Marco, his head groom and the horses tell the real story of life on the show circuit. I enjoyed this book so much that I am hoping that there will be a year "Two" in the jumping for Gold Series, Please Barbara Moss, we are waiting!

A Must Read for Adults

This book was amazing. Had great detail and was almost like a real life story. Would only recommd for adults or mature teens since it is graphic and tends to swear a lot. Other then that it is a great read and I can't put it down and since it's long it lasts me more then one day. Must-Read for horse-overs though can't say it enough!!!

Wonderful Equestrian-Themed Novel

If you are an equestrian or just plain horse lover you need to read this book. What a great read. I couldn't wait to finish it, yet, didn't WANT to finish it because I didn't want it to end! That is the ultimate compliment. The horse related details are fabulous and each horse's personality so compelling, especially alpha mare QL and the stallion Lion. Can't wait for the second book in the series and reading more on these fabulous horses and their humans, Jericho, Brae, Bee Bee, Chuck, Marco, Race, the Marxes and on. This is just one fabulous read. Actually....I am off to re-read it again...and...order a second copy! Don't miss this one!

Right On!

Have been part of the horse world for years. This book is "right on" in terms of politics, coaching, gossip and everything that goes into the show circuit. But the real stars are the horses -- their talent, personalities, and challenges. Despite the really poor job of copy editing, the characters (both human and equine) carry the day. I plan to get several copies for friends, since mine will stay in my library!
