Best in class of Sahara travel books

I ordered this book because someone else on another web site said that this was the best Sahara travel book written. It is true! Can you imagine two newlyweds (less than 3 months of marriage and from separate countries with vastly different languages and temperaments) crossing the Sahara Desert on camels? The author invites us to join this dual adventure of desert travel and newly married life. One has nothing but admiration for this couple who endured and overcame many obstacles to complete this never-before-accomplished journey. Indeed, given present conditions in much of the Sahara, such a trip probably couldn't be again attempted due to political instability and lawlessness. Asher has written a great travel book that is unlike any other you'll probably encounter. Also, his wife provided several photos.
