If You Ever Tell

Personally, I feel that this is just another feather in her cap. It never fails that in every book, I feel as if I am right there living with the Characters as if I know them very well. Their personalities, their likes, dislikes, etc. I am awaiting her next book with baited breath. Just a note... Teri is a well known nickname for Teresa. The "poster" that wrote a poor review seemed to be so upset with just that one sentence where the names, Teresa and Teri were introduced. It really is a shame that you could not get past that because the book was excellent.

I have been a big fan of Carlene Thompson since the first book. I had to back order a few of them and I have never been let down. This latest entry is no exception. This book had me on the edge, I literally did not want to put it down. I had no idea who the killer was until the end, when you know all the facts everything falls into place. I also love how the author gives her dog a place in the story. I am a big dog lover too. Carlene Thompson is great.

In the last 3 months, I have read every book Carlene Thompson has written and I've loved everyone of them!! I thought that maybe this time I had really figured out who the killer was...but once again I was wrong. She does a great job of telling the story, describing details (without over doing it). The characters are so believable, I was able to relate to them and that made me feel connected to the story. I hate to finish her books, cause I enjoy them so much, but it's great that she puts in an epilogue!! (I hate authors that kill or catch the bad guy and boom the book ends.) I can't wait for her next book!!

Five stars are not enough to rate this superb thriller by Carlene Thompson. With suspects aplenty, a cast of well-defined characters, and a creepy killer hiding in plain sight, IF YOU EVER TELL ranks as one of the best suspense novels of the year. I give it ten stars - don't miss it!

This is another excellent mystery by Ms. Thompson. The book builds to a crescendo and I was up to 2a.m. finishing it because I couldn't put it down. I loved the characters and the ending was a total surprise. I like Ms. Thompson's books because they are exciting and suspenseful with a small amount of romance. Please keep writing!
