Teaching 5th grade

Dear Readers,I really enjoyed the manner in which the authorwrote about how some lessons are hard to learn. Every child knows ofsome individual within their family that tends to think that they know everything there is to learn. The author stressed that everyone makes mistakes in life and that know one is perfect. Teachers could use this book to teach a lesson on lessons learned in life. Children would be able to relate to things they have tried to accomplish and how demanding the task was for them to complete. It also lends itself to teaching the writing process. The writing process involves coming up with a rough draft of your writing and then working and working on it until the story, paragraph, or written item if exactly the way in which you want it to be. Another lesson to be taught with the help of this book would be that people should love one another in spite of their flaws. Many lessons can be learned in life.

A must for do-it-yourselfers

This book had our entire family in tears laughing. Even if you have never had the experience of your father or spouse turning an afternoon job into a month's adventure, you will still enjoy the authors wit and wonderful pictures. But if you have ever had to have a job done twice, because it was not right the first time, you will especially enjoy this. The author touches on an array of projects, from plumbing to wallpapering. It is written from a little boy's perspective, and you will love the whimsical adventure his dad took building his house.
