A child imagines having a train and taking passengers on a cross-country trip. On board pages. This description may be from another edition of this product.
My son got this book for his first birthday. Now he's 5-1/2 and we're still reading it! The text is short and sweet, and I haven't gotten sick of it yet (it ends with the words "good night", making it great for bedtime). The illustrations have good variety and detail, lots of things to point at and comment on, but simple enough for little ones. They show 2 stations, a city scene, a desert, a snowy canyon, and a beach. The child driving the train looks Asian, which can be used to help teach kids that fantastic people come in all different shapes, sizes and colors. All in all, a good first book about trains.
