If He Had Been with Me

Cutesy story about childhood friends. An easy quick read for a light, not really plot forward, story. Narration seemed a little kiddy, ending was too abrupt and non-descriptive for the build. There was too much character build/background for characters that didn't move the plot forward. I felt like there could have been things omitted to make room for the real point. Not a bad book, just not very eventful. I wish we could have gotten a better look into Finny's mind. Definitely being carried by the hype train, but if you want a 'cute' quick read, it is a decent simple book

I was very dissappointed. Decided to buy and read this one due to all the raving. There were so many times I wanted to slap the main character and go WTF?! I understand the character is a teenage girl, but come on. It took every ounce of discipline I had to finish the book.

The way the book was written and the story and how the pieces fall into place was just amazing. I read this book in one day I was invested and saddened at the end I had cried for a long time because the love was pure and it had a bunch of bumps but at the end it was just unbelievably real. Like anything can happen and I just I wish I could go back and read this book for the first time again!

Did not like it because it was very slow paced and then it the ending of the book was to rushed and made no sense

The story itself was great. I love a great love story. Autumn was a little too much for me, but the character Finny was perfect. I read it in two days, had to get to the ending as fast as possible to move on with my life.

i loved this book. it’s the type of book that tells you the end at the beginning then as you read it, it tells you all the events leading up to the end. but when you get to the end, there’s still like ten minutes more and it’s INSANE. i cried and cried for an hour. i related to autumn so much. the author is so good at writing that i could feel everything autumn was feeling. it’s cute, ugly, happy, and heartbreaking all at the same time. definitely recommend this book to anyone who’s interested.

Roller coaster of emotions.

This book means everything to me. I read it years ago and fell in love. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, but also related to Autumn. Years later my boyfriend passed away…and I decided to pick this book up again. And when I say I balled, I balled. This book has a special spot on my shelf

From the start to finish of this book I was literally at the edge of my seat! I finished it in two days and kinda wish I hadn’t. Definitely a book I could read again and again. Absolutely recommend
