If by Chance

Being very interested in military history, especially the 2nd world war, I picked this book up at first sight. Strawson`s research and insight makes for an exciting read, and this makes up for some unclear sentences occuring at regular intervals when he becomes a bit too excited. The battles described in this book, it must be noted, are probably most interesting for those with a keen interest in British military history. For me personally, the chapters on the 2nd World War, of which there are seven, covering all stages and theatres of the war, were the most exciting. It is a hard book to put down, and serves as a great helper in discussions.
