I wish I had found this book much sooner. When a spouse is secretly involved in pornography, there are many symptoms that manifest in the home. It can make you crazy trying to figure out why things are going the way they are. (For instance, the level of anger.) So many wives of men involved in this suffer from low self-esteem. Contributing to that is that lust and love cannot co-exist. When a man is lusting, he is not loving, and his family will feel that. Sadly, so often we question ourselves and feel we must not be good enough. Another problem is that we feel isolated. When our spouse is not there for us, that is hard, but then this is also a problem that we hesitate to share with our friends. I never felt so confused before. I learned that lying is a huge part of those involved in these problems, and naturally you will feel confused when you are being lied to. After reading this book the confusion lifted, I felt on solid ground and I was greatly comforted. I didn't feel alone anymore. What a gift this book was to me!

I came across this book while trying to make sense of a devastating loss in my life. Its insights have helped me learn and heal and get past the pain. I love the way it centers our healing in the Savior, Jesus Christ. I would recommend this book to anyone who is grieving and trying to heal from the harmful effects of another person's choices.
