I Love My Mommy and its counterpart, I Love My Daddy are great books for family reading. My two children loved the books when they were small. I still keep them on the shelf to read to guests children. I am now looking for the books to see if there are still copies so that I can get them for our newly born (and one on the way) nieces.
Excellent book

This is an excellent Christian book. Each chapter (four chapters) depicts the special relationship between a child and the parent. The stories are wonderful and the beautiful illustrations are realistic. It is gender and ethnically sensitive. We initially read the book at bedtime and by the time our son was 2 1/2 - 3 years old, he had the words memorized! This book and "I Love My Daddy" are two of our family's favorites. They make excellent baby gifts.
