Children use listening ears for this book!

This book is great for young children; they listen so attentively. Pre-schoolers especially love the cassette tape!

Would be Great for a Grade School Play !

I absolutely love this story. It was perfect for my son who at the time was a challenge at bedtime. I stillsometimes read this to him (now 5) but almost nightly to my daughter who is now 3. The story is captivating enough to keep the little ones interestwith just the right number of words per page so that you are turning pages frequently. It is also educational in that kids learn number ordinance, and different animals. This book is a great find. It is a book you will definately read for years to come, my copy is already five years old !

Wonderful Bedtime Story

This is a great bedtime book! I read it often to the kids, ages 3-10, at the daycare where I work when we are putting them to bed at night. In fact I've read it so often that I have it nearly memorized. The repeatizeness is comforting and the story is somthing they can identify with! I whole heartedly recommend it!

Longest book that I like so far

Usually if dad reads me a book with more than a few words per page, I begin to drift off around the middle of the book. This happened to me with "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" and others. But I'm only two. But for some reason, this longer books keeps my attention all the way through. Dad thinks it's because hardly any of the text changes from page to page, except that they replace jungle with water hole and monkey with elephant and so on. But I think it's because the book has a peacock in it. I love peacocks, don't you?

A firm favourite

Little Tiger does not want to go to bed. One night Mummy Tiger says 'All right, you can stay up all night'. he scampers off into the jungle looking for his friends, who are all in the various stages of preparation for bed. Eventually he is lost and is brought home to the safety of Mummy by a Bush Baby. A delightful story, with beautiful illustrations that will appeal to pre-schoolers. There may be quite a few who identify!
