Thoroughly delightful!!!

What a completely charming book!! Normally, a book that revolves around 3 separate romances would throw me off, but this was just too good!!! I have to tell you this book had some of the funniest lovescenes I have ever encountered...the scene between Juliette and Ben when he was setting the table is one that I wont soon forget!! As much as I loved the romance, and the fun storyline and setting, my favorite part of this book had to be the friendship between the 3 women...they were all so different..Juliette was a riot..Im telling you this is a must read!!

Loved it! Loved it! Loved it!

What a fabulous book! The storyline was very interesting and progressed at a good pace. At first I thought that 3 romances in one book would be too much but the personalities of all 3 pairs were very well developed and it was easy to keep everybody straight. I shivered along with poor Juliette in the minus 20 degree weather and shed a few tears when the womens' lies were revealed. But that was well balanced by my loud laughter during Clara and Juliette's seduction scenes. ("Crystal." "Crystal? Oh!"..."Do the silver next" she whispered.) I howled. This was an excellent romance and I recommend it highly. Bravo, Maggie Osborne!!

Maggie Osborne has written another keeper

This book is wonderful. Three abandoned brides set out after their perfect husband, only to discover, via their "heirloom" wedding rings, that they have all married the same fortune hunting bigamist. Determined to regain their money and perhaps to kill the scoundrel, these three completely mismatched and unwilling travelling companions set out on the trail to the Klondike. Of course, they each meet the man of their dreams while in hot pursuit of their "husband". This book is well researched and beautifully written. Each character is well delineated, with all their idiosyncrasies displayed consistently. Along the way you will encounter two of the funniest seduction scenes I have ever read, and an infamous arm wrestling match. As to how the author manages to portray six love affairs and seven major characters realistically in one book with aplomb- well, you'll just have to read this super book to find out.

Well worth the read

Jean Jacques Villette travels the West Coast hitting small towns in California, Oregon, and Washington where he finds lonely wealthy spinsters to seduce, marry, rob, and desert. In California, he hit on Juliette March who for nine months believed in his love and that he would return until she followed his trail to Oregon, where she finds victim number two, Clara Klaus. Together they head to Washington where they are joined by dupe number three Zoe Wilder. He married all three of them. The wives decide to confront and perhaps kill the scoundrel. His trail takes them to Alaska where Villette has a surprise in store for his three spouses. Meanwhile each woman meets a handsome man who falls in love with her. However, once burned, Juliette, Clara, and Zoe find it difficult to give away their respective hearts again.Readers will enjoy Maggie Osborne's Americana romance that brings to life the last decade of the nineteenth century. The story line is entertaining due to the powerful depiction of the ensemble. The audience will understand why the women married Villette. The charming cad includes a compassionate side that makes him into a complete character and not just a totally evil villain. I DO3 is an intriguing historical romance that will provide enjoyment to fans of Americana.Harriet Klausner

Once again, Ms. Osborne shows us why she's one of the best !

Spinster heiress Juliette March has lived all her life within the confines of proper society. Along comes Jean Jacques Villette, with his debonair ways and dashing good looks; soon he and Juliette are married. But just when Juliette thinks she's found true wedded bliss, Jean Jacques and her inheritance disappear. Refusing to believe that he married her for the money, Juliette decides to track the man down. It's not long before she finds herself confronting not her handsome, wayward husband, but Mrs.Villette number two!Innkeeper Clara Klaus has sold her establishment, eager to follow her husband up north. A no-nonsense, practical thinker, Clara was sure she'd found the perfect husband in the honey-tongued Romeo. Now, out of the blue comes Juliette, displaying a duplicate "heirloom" wedding ring that Clara herself possesses. Realizing she, too, has been duped, Clara joins forces with Juliette. And just when they think things couldn't get worse, they bump into wife number three!Zoe Wilder has spent most of her life trying to escape her poor working-class background. She meets and weds her ideal of a gentleman: one Jean Jacques Villette. But now, connived out of her money and left high and dry, Zoe's mad as a hornet. With the intent of helping Jean Jacques meet his maker, Zoe joins in the pursuit. There are so many enjoyable aspects to this book, that it's hard to single out just what makes it so special. Juliette, Clara, and Zoe all share center stage, their trials and tribulations interwoven together. Watching these women, who initially hate each other, grow to overcome their self-doubts and petty jealousies, makes for one delightful read. With witty dialogue, great secondary characters, some truly memorable events (a certain arm wrestling match had me laughing out loud), images that come alive on the pages, and her attention to historical detail, it's another great read from the gifted Maggie Osborne, and one you surely won't want to miss. Enjoy!
