I Believe in Me

I bought this for our 2 yr. old daughter and it has become a family favorite! She loves repeating the affirmations and looking at the pictures. The artwork is really nice and gives us a segway to other topics. My husband and I noticed immediately how good WE felt after reading it to her. Thus it is one of our favorite books to share. Playdates have commented and enjoyed the book as well as our spiritual community. It's recommended for young children, but honestly I think everyone would get something positive from it. Even older kids that are new to affirmations, meditation and the like can't help but feel better after reading this book. It is a must have for any library!

The simple, yet profound, affirmations are accompanied by gorgeous, colourful images of the soul undertaking positive activities - my son's favourite is the image of the spirit skipping down a waterfall to the affirmation "I am free to be me", while my own favourite is the soul resting in a circle of protection, supported by two angels (my son used to think they were mummy & daddy) accompanied by the text "I am safe". A lovely book that has stood the test of time over several years in our family.

This book is superbly uplifting through the happy, imaginative drawings, and the absolute uplifting affirmations. The drawings are captivating to young eyes and hearts, and the affirmations are simple, happy, creative. This is a gift that will more than entertain the child you love. It will guide that growing being into self-confidence and into love for life and all in it. By the way, this book isn't too shabby for an adult's inner child!

I Believe in Me is a beautiful book that opens the heart of the reader. The joy expressed in Connie's art is universally appealing to children and adults, no matter the particular spiritual path. The simple format lends itself to countless uses, and I use mine at home with my children, in my Sunday School, and for my personal inspiration.
