This book contains all the information that you need to do just what the title says. It was not written with terms that everyday people don't understand, so even someone new to the sport can read this book and understand what the author is trying to get across. It covers every aspect of hunting including recognizing different plants and trees that deer eat from, effectively driving deer, scrape hunting for big bucks, what to do if you get lost in the woods, hunting alone, stalking, how to read topo maps, and how to prepare for warm weather hunting to name a few. Other books that I have read used terms only seasoned deer hunters would understand like "saddle", "bird-dog", and "funnel." I have recommended this book to many friends that were beginnners or just walked into the woods and climbed up the first tree that looked good. This book can prepare you to have the advantage over the average hunter when the season comes around and has information that can be helpful even to an experienced hunter like myself. I have read this book many times over to get the information soaked into my head!
