HUMPTY DUMPTY AND OTHER RHYMES (Slip-Slide Book) Humpty Dumpty and Other Rhymes (Slip-Slide Book) This is a fun book for toddlers and preschoolers with an added treat as you watch the scene change, magically, before your very eyes! Each rhyme/page has a tab you pull. So for Humpty Dumpty, you see him sitting on the wall; pull the tab, and you see him after he fell. I especially liked the last rhyme, there was a little girl who had a curl right in the middle of her forehead. When she was good, she was very, very good. But when she was bad She was horrid. Pulling the tab reveals a rather naughtly looking girl with her tongue sticking out, quite a different view from the previous sweet looking girl. Each spread has a tab to pull. The tab may be a little hard for little ones to manage on their own. It may work best for the adult reader to pull them or to do pull together with the child. Our copy stayed in good condition. Some slip-slide book can get messed up if the slides get stuck and are forced open out of frustration, hurting the pages, but ours stood the test. Fun book.
