Another great book by Danielle Steel!

Danielle Steel is my favorite author! I am trying to gather a collection, so I will be buying more books.

HRH

Princess Christianna of Liechtenstein was a beautiful, but sheltered daughter of a dominate King who was used to getting his own way. After she graduated from college in the United States, she didn't want to return to her country to perform meaningless princess duties as her father wanted. She wanted to make a difference and use her position and education to help others. She got the chance when her father weakened his grip and allowed her to volunteer for the Red Cross in East Africa if she went incognito with body guards. While she was there, she met and fell in love with an American Doctor who was on a brief assignment. None of the volunteers knew she was a Princess, including the doctor, until one day, the secret got out. By then it was too late, the couple was already in love. When he found out, her father forbids her to marry a commoner even though he was a well-educated and handsome physician. Through a series of unforeseen events, Christianna and the doctor did get-together and lived happily ever after. A fairy-tale Danielle Steel novel!

Ah Ending!

I am the kind of person that only likes a book if it ends the way that I want it to. After finishing this book I couldn't sleep! I was so involved with the characters by the end and in my head they had become a part of me! LOVED THIS BOOK! Can't figure out the bad reviews...This book was just right. I just wish there was a part two, because I didn't want the story to end!

What happened Danielle????

I absolutely love Danielle Steele. I think that she is a fabulous writer and I collect all her books, even this one, however, this did not hold my interest at all. Not in the beginning, the middle or the end. I kept waiting for Danielle's magic pen to grab me as it always does but not this time. This is a message to Danielle. You are so very talented but you are putting out too many books too fast and your stories are beginning to suffer. Please go back to taking your time and writing the way you know how. I still give you five stars because of your amazing talent and because now that I was written my own book, "Fallacious" I now know how painstaking it is to put a book out and to put yourself out there for everyone to comment on you. You are the best, slow down and enjoy what you seem to love and the old and real you will show in your work again.

A Superb Tale

His Royal Highness treats his daughter, Princess Christianna, like a pet poodle. His Royal Highness apparently sees no wrong in his son's spoiled behavior and merely laughs off his son's "toying" with women. What hypocrites both His Royal Highness and the Prince are: it makes for a wonderful story as Christianna sees the light, understands what true duty is and she gets right. I love a book where women triumph. Steele is growing into a more reflective writer and successfully intertwining important issues of the world into her novels: this provides the reader with the charm of romance combined with the duty of humanity. AIDS in Africa and very interesting insight presented in Christianna's (aka Cricky when in Africa) tour with the American Red Cross. Terrific book and maybe too good; could not put it down until I finished it. I trust that most will have the same problem. Hey, it's a great world when women can be princesses, leaders and humanitarians at the same time.
