Disappointing

After reading the precourser to this book, (Capture a Countess), I was really looking forward to this, only to be VERY disappointed. The first book in this series was funny, engaging and thoroughly enjoyable. This second book is none of those things. Dull unattractive characters, poor plot, no humor. Boring!
I never understand how a writer moves between brilliance and mediocrity so readily, but this book goes straight to the donation bin.
