Everything you wanted to know about the VAIO computer

Item exactly as described and was received very quickly thank you.

A great help to learn about Sony VAIO's!!

WOW!!!!!! Years ago when I bought my first Sony VAIO I sure could have used a book such as this to explain in laymans terms all the features that these computers have to offer. I now feel much more confident in tackling these programs with the help from, "How to Do Everything with Your Sony Vaio". Because of this book I'm definitely going to consider another Sony VAIO computer for my next purchase and use this book as my bible. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!

Great Book

June 30, 2004 After reading "How to Do Everything with Your Sony Vaio", I would recommend this book to everyone who has a Sony computer or is interested in getting one. Tom Dunlap has done a great job laying out everything. It is just too numerous to mention here. It has neat tips on using XP, and lot information on the exclusive programs that are shipped with most Sony's. It is full of pictures that show you what to do and how to do it. It even helps you setup a networking system, and shows you how to use the "Click to DVD" program that comes with most newer Sony's. This book could save you a lot of calls to Customer Support

Awesome VAIO Handbook

After getting this book I was impressed with the hints and other helpful info provided! VAIO has been on a rise as a computer brand and a lot of its owners do not realize and use the features, bells and whistles that come packed in their VAIOs. Tom's book has nice descriptions and images of using VAIO Media, Giga Pocket and other software. Also XP tweaks are discussed in the book that will make your VAIO safer. VAIO has been an eye-catching brand and a PC, because Sony really spends a lot time in designing the "face" of its PCs, just take a look at its newer series like TR, A, Z1 and upcoming S series notebook or older Picturebooks, NV, 505 series notebooks and striking functionality and design of W, MXS, LX series! This book is a great source for those who are considering getting a VAIO as well. Meet with your VAIO again!

Hybrid Info for those Hybrids

As an initial owner of the first series of the Sony VAIOs to hit the shelves the experience of the learning curve that these hybrid PC/Laptops have always required being "on the cutting edge" have always made utilizing all their "bell & whistles" a definite challenge. This book is a real gift to anyone that have faced the challenge of really trying to get the most of their VAIO experience.Sony has over that last several years been marketing the VAIO line as "Digital Studios" again being one of the first manufacturers to add components like DVD-RW opticals, Minidisc Recorders, and their Tivo like component called Gigpocket...etc.This book in very easy to follow guidelines walks you step by step through "the experience" to make these high end machines behave and produce the results that you were expecting when you became sold on the VAIO concept.I personally have been continuing to work with the VAIO challenged for years now since my early first system and actually run a Sony VAIO Forum Support site VAIO Village: http://www.vaiovillage.com and was asked to submit a Community Voice insiders sidebar for this book and can highly recommend the many solutions that Tom's book help address.
