How to Do Everything with Ebay Business

This book provides a good presentation on the intrigacies of Ebay selling. The author describes the importance of getting user feedback because this is a function of how well we do. It's necessary to get the buyer's attention with catchy selling presentations/descriptions. Generally, no reserve auctions make better sales. The Turbo lister is recommended for multiple sales. Publishing a picture can be critical because many buyers want to see what they're purchasing. Lastly, a good description is crucial to sale. Provide all relevant details. i.e. - guarantee - ease of utilization - general condition - minor repairs , if needed - manufacture date - model number etc. The more detail provided- the better it is for the potential buyer. Very often, buyers are looking for a very specific make, model and condition of the item for sale. If you provide this information on a timely basis, it is more probable that a sale will be consumated. In addition, pricing is important. Price an item so that it sells quickly. If the price is set too high, there may be little or no interest. Sometimes, it pays to sell around a holiday. With the pressure of holiday shopping, consumers just may pay more money for the convenience of getting the item early without long waiting lines or extensive travel from store to store looking for available stock at an affordable price.

There are other ebay books on the market, but this one clearly covers a wider range of basics than most, ranging from designing a sale to opening up your own Web store via ebay's system.

Must Read for Anyone Starting an Ebay Business!

This book is a must read for anyone who is seriously considering an Ebay business. It is written in a concise stype; there are no wasted words to struggle through. The information you will receive from this author is both up-to-date and of value.

EBAYer MUST HAVE

This book is the best Ebay book I have read and trust me I have read them all. I am an experienced EBAY POWER seller myself. I have been doing so for over 4 years now and have sold over 3000 items. Actually I am in the book, but trust me when I say this is the ONLY book you will need to buy to get started, or improve your EBAY expierence. Whether it is buying or selling and you are a beginner or experienced it will help everyone. It is a very easy to read and understand book. Overall the book hands down is better than EBAY for Dummies.

Better than the Dummies Book

I had already purchased the Starting an eBay Business for Dummies book so I was very skeptical about purchasing this book. I decided to just read parts of it in the store. I ended up buying it because I liked the style of his writing, and chapter 4 on tips for serious sellers really hit home. He talks about not getting too wrapped up in each individual sale, that for a serious seller it is important to do a volume of business. He also puts importance on the professional design of your ads, a logo, business cards, etc. to let people know you are a serious professional. I haven't read the book cover to cover but a lot of his information is to the point, with great stories on established eBay sellers and their different approaches. This book is also more up to date than the Dummies book, and talks about PayPal and its pros and cons in detail. Overall, this is a very useful book with great information, and I might not have purchased the Dummies book if this had been out before.
