A humanitarian aid agency in Europe is being used as a front to smuggle arms into a drought-ridden African nation on the brink of starvation. Mack Bolan's hunt begins in Rotterdam, where a grim play of cross and double-cross deals the Colombians, corrupt Dutch officials, local narcotraffickers and an innocent American woman into the game, and soon Bolan is up against an army of killers led by a power-hungry warlord. This book doesn't give the reader a moment to catch breath as action is piled upon action in a race against time from country to country. There's car chases, gun battles, torture and twists galore. Plenty of weapon info too. Everything one would expect from an Executioner book. All told in the confident and exciting style of writer Mike Linaker. Like in his westerns Mike is exceptionally good at describing the oppressive conditions of deserts but it's his telling of the action sequences that really stand-out to put this book right up there with the best Executioner books I've read. Recommended.
