Amateur (Ham) Radio Suspense / Mystery

Hostage in the Woods is the second in a series from author Cynthia Wall. Ms. Wall continues in the tradition of author Walker A. Tompkins (SOS at Midnight, Murder by QRM, etc...) who had previously written books for/thru the ARRL (National Ham Radio Organization). The books are all common in that they have a unique mystery/suspense to them that always has a 'need' to utilize Amateur (Ham) Radio at various parts of the book, and of course at the high points.Similar to Tompkins books, Ms. Wall has a central character, Kim Stafford, KA7SJP that is an amateur radio operator. Kim's (boy)friend Marc, KA7ITR also plays an important role.In this book, Kim gets into some trouble and ends up obviously being a hostage. Will her Amateur Radio skills help her again this time? How and can Marc come through and help her this time? For anyone that has an interest in Amateur (Ham) Radio, and likes any type of suspense or mystery books, you'll really enjoy this book.I've read all of the books by Cynthia Wall and Walker A. Tompkins (some when I was a young child) and the main point they all had in common was that when I started reading, it was very hard to put the book down. If it was time to eat or be someplace, I didn't 'want' to stop when I reached the end of the chapter. For those of you that aren't interested in Amateur Radio, I would imagine the book would still be enjoyable, but I'm really unable to advise one way or the other, because I'm biased in my interest and enjoyment of Amateur Radio. An additional item I like about the books that's worth mentioning is their length. They aren't extremely long, and yet aren't small--you could easily read through one of the books in an afternoon, which is just right for me!So, what are you waiting for? Dig in and start reading!I sure hope you enjoy the book as much as I did.73 all! (For those of you that don't know what "73" means, it's Amateur Radio lingo for "Best Regards
