Really good book being the first i've read by Peck!!

This book was beautifully written from the sneaky plot and "stolen" girlfrind to the different points of view. Everything jumped out like I was really there. The story begins with the orphan, Tullis Yoder, and the Big Bubb Rodeo show where he works as a stable hand. When the rodeo has to close down and Tullis realizes that the only family he's ever had (a.k.a. the 13 rodeo horses) are going to be slaughtered, he teams up with an old poker playing, card-cheating, horse-theif bum, who is temporarily in jail, and his accoplished daghter who's a doctor to save the 13 horses!!
