THE SADDLE CLUB #35: HORSE TALEWRITTEN BY: Bonnie BryantCOVER ART BY: Garin BakerPUBLISHED: 1994PUBLISHED BY: SkylarkPAGES: 135...EXTRAS: None.SUMMARY:Stevie has always longed for a horse of her own, and this summer she finally has the chance to get one. When she and the rest of The Saddle Club head out West to visit their friend Kate Devine and star in a wild west show, Kate's dad agrees to sell Stewball, Stevie's favorite ranch horse. but as the day to bring Stewball back East draws nearer, Stevie begins to have second thoughts. Does a ranch horse _really belong at Pine Hollow Stables?COVER ART REVIEW:Prefect. It's a scene from the book and the people and horse are done very well.OVERALL: CAMPION. One of the more rememberable covers.BOOK REVIEW:One of my favorites. The problem with this book is the same problem with all the Bar None books: Lisa and her trampness. (Also known as Lisa and John.) These two annoy me to high heaven. I just don't get why every single guy(except for Phil, who has taste) likes Lisa. Maybe there all brain dead or something. Thankfully, we got a lot of Stevie and the horse action to read. Unfortunately, while this is supposed to be a Stevie story, there is far too much Lisa and John in this story. That is what stopped the story (and pretty much all the other Bar None stories) from being champions.OVERALL: RED. A good read with to much Lisa/John. And it felt like it was missing something. Still one of my favorites though. (No thanks to Lisa/John though. Everyone else was great.)

This book was so good!! It has a sense of humor, and the characters are well thought of. I love the SC books where they are at Pine Hollow, since they have advantages there such as their own horses, and getting even with Veronica, but I also like the Bar None since Kate, Christine, and John are there. I like the Bar None books 1. horses 2. more characters that are the saddle club's age 3. Stewball and Stevie(they make a good team!) 4. John and Lisa's relationship 5. Carole and Chance(later Bar None Ranch books) 6. All the other horses 7. Well, it's the Saddle Club!!!!!
