It analyzes the ideologies of the past and weighs them against present societies. The book suggests we've looked within ourselves long enough to try and solve these problems. Perhaps now, through Scripture's lens, it is time to reevaluate. They recognize how great the crises we face are and encourage each of us to "open our deepest convictions for examinations and review by others...locate areas of common ground, and explore genuine partnership around steps for concrete action."
