Daneille Steel Book

Danielle Steel's Books are something I buy and give to my significant other on a regular basis, to stay in her good graces!!!!!

A page turner at Danielle Steele's best !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really enjoyed this book, it started good from the start . It continued on at a slower pace but you have to acquire a taste for the character and all involved . People who suffer from amnesia has to go through this process to try and remember stuff from their life , so i dont think it was repetive that she loved her ex husband like a brother , she just did not remember much details about her previous life with him . Overall it was a good summer read , and i enjoyed it during my vacation . I would still recommend Danielle Steele's novels . I am an avis fan of hers for over twenty years . Keep up the good work , and dont mind these negative reviewers they have personal issues .

An interesting Danielle Steel

Just when you think it will be the same old same old Steel fools you with some interesting insights.

4 stars

In Honor Thyself, the latest tale from Danielle Steel, world renown actress Carole Barber heads off to Paris in hopes of clearing the writer's block she has concerning the semiautographical book she is writing. Unfortunately, Carole falls victim to a terrorist's bomb. For weeks she lies in a coma in a Paris hospital barely clinging to life while her family waits by her bedside praying for her survival. When Carole emerges from the coma she has amnesia and cannot even remember her own children. As she rediscovers her children, her loves, and herself, she also finds the answers to the questions she had about herself that she was seeking when she first came to Paris and takes advantage of the second chance at life that she has been given. **** At first, the life of international movie star Carole Barber seems just too perfect, but the courage, sincerity, and gratefulness that she shines with throughout her recovery prove that she is just a good person through and through. I enjoyed how the secrets of Carole's past were revealed to her through the people who love her the most and as she rediscovers herself she takes full advantage of her second chance as she honors others but most importantly honors herself. All in all this was an enjoyable read! **** Reviewed by Barbara Stabler for Huntress Reviews.

interesting character driven tale

One time Oscar winner Carole Barber leaves Hollywood for Paris where the fifty year old actress plans to write her first novel. However, on her first night in town, a terrorists' assault kills many innocents and leaves the stage and movie superstar severely injured and rushed to a hospital suffering from amnesia amongst other injuries. As she recovers physically, the paparazzi are like locusts assaulting the hospital. Someone she does not recognize keeps visiting her as he has not forgotten her from their time together fifteen years ago. Her adult children cross the pond while praying for their mom to heal. During all this Carole slowly one fact at a time begins to remember her life, her failures, and her regrets, but realizes God has given her a second chance with those she loves if she has the courage to go for it. This is an interesting character driven tale in which Carole meeting her loved ones for the "first" time since her amnesia will garner a lot of reader empathy. However, the story line never digs deep into her decision making as to why she kept her secret lover and even her children at a distance. Still fans of Danielle Steele will enjoy her second chance at living and loving relationships as fans will root for the heroine to succeed. Harriet Klausner
