Good overview of an interesting subject

This is a great book for young people interested in boats and unusual ways of living. Covers cultures from all over the world in a well-written, easy to follow format. The drawings and diagrams are good, but some of the pictures are a bit dated and textbook-ish. However, since this is the only book that covers this subject at all, it's not a problem. About 30 pages long with glossary and index.
