Homeport

I love Nora Roberts' books. I've read most of them and have never been disappointed. Homeport is the story of Miranda Jones and Ryan Boldari. Miranda works in the family art business. She is a renowned specialist in being able to take art pieces and determining how old they are. Ryan is a thief, a very good one, that comes in to Miranda's life when he steals a piece from her Institute only to find out it's a fake. Miranda's reputation has already taken a hit because a piece of art she confirmed to be real was also discovered to be fake. As the two work together, they realize that there are too many coincidences between the two pieces being fake to be ignored. People close to Miranda are murdered and they both start to realize that they are falling for each other. The dialogue is great, the story moves at the right pace. Miranda more than holds her own with Ryan. Ryan is slowly able to break through the barriers Miranda has set up. The ending wasn't what I expected which was a good thing for me. I don't like figuring things out too early in a book, it doesn't make the story as interesting. I highly recommend it!

Wow. That was the first word that comes to mind when I put the book down a few hours ago. I have just recently become a fan of Nora Roberts and I can honestly say that I have yet to be let down. These two characters were better than Gillian and Trace in Without A Trace. I never thought I could met such wonderful characters, but I certainly have in all the Nora Roberts books I have read. The suspense was mind boggeling and the romance receives five plus stars. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I could NOT put this book down. I fell in love with both Miranda and Ryan. The back drop of art and history was what really hooked me. Just enough suspense and humor to keep you reading. I didn't want this one to end. Can't wait to read her next one.

Just when her fans think she simply can't produce anything better than our most favorite of her previous books, the queen steps up to the plate and hits another home run with her diamond tierra! My husband groans a little when he sees me reading another Nora Roberts book. But not for long. He knows that getting my attention while my eyes are glued and glazed carries the same odds as winning "Megabucks" here in Las Vegas. But, he's a smart man. He knows that it won't be long until Nora's well crafted romance, misted with just the right amount of eau de lust, will ultimately work in his favor. They call Ms. Roberts a "prolific writer". For those of us who have read and enjoyed every one of her books, she simply can't be prolific enough to ever satisfy our imaginations. We bow at your feet, Queen Nora...long live the queen! (P.S.: Can't you write a little faster?)

Nora Roberts has long been a favorite, and I eagerly await each release. Not only will you find the escapism most often sought in romantic fiction, but an educating overview of the various subject matters that form the bases of her novels. She gives her reader the chance to slip into the character's world, and watch the story unfold. HOMEPORT does what all Nora Roberts books do... keep you hanging for the next volume to hit the shelves ! THANKS NORA !!!
